Our Story
St Clare's Pre School is a reputable and established childcare provider, serving the community since 1984. Located in the beautiful city of Chester, we are conveniently situated with links to North Wales and other surrounding areas.
Operating within the grounds of St Clare's Catholic Primary School, we have a purpose-built classroom for children aged between 2 and 4 years old designed to foster a home from home environment. We strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thoughtfully designed with diverse resources and engaging activities for all children to thrive and reach their full potential.
Our Mission
At St Clare's Pre School, our belief is that children learn best through play. Our role is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to empower children to become resilient, independent, motivated and curious learners. We are passionate about teaching children to believe in themselves with a motto of "You can do it!"
The team are inspired from the magic created when a child discovers something new. The experienced team, affectionately known as Team Purple, are committed to the holistic development of each child, preparing them for a bright future.

Our Values
St Clare's preschool is dedicated to fostering a culture of kindness. We encourage children to be kind to themselves, show empathy towards others and to treat belongings and the natural world with care.
We promote British values by allowing children to make their own choices, encourage them to express their own opinions and ensuring each child knows that they are heard. We have a welcoming and inclusive environment where chidren learn to appreciate and respect the differences of others including their abilities, backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.
The team guide children in understanding the importance of rules for safety and self-expression within established boundaries.
